TRAFFORD made a triumphant return to the Unibond League after being crowned Vodkat League Division One champions on Tuesday night.
Ged Kielty's team secured the title with four games to spare after a stunning 5-1 win over Formby, which sent the vocal Shawe View crowd into raptures.
It means Trafford will return to the Unibond Division One for the first time since relegation in 2003 and completes a fairytale season for boss Kielty, who could not have hoped for a better start to his management career.

The 31-year-old former Altrincham midfielder was given the job after a recommendation from departing Trafford manager Danny Johnson, despite no prior experience.
But he has forged an incredible team spirit at Shawe View and put together an exciting young team, who play with pace, enthusiasm and skill.

All of that was evidence in the victory over Formby. Striker Scott Barlow was star of the show, scoring an impressive hat-trick, but there were also outstanding performances from veteran centre half Lee Southwood and top scorer Andy Lundy among others.
The result never seemed in doubt, as right from the off, Trafford went straight from the jugular, tearing through the visitors' defence.
Despite suffering an early shock when Tom Read was forced to turn away a decent effort from Ian Turner, they took the lead after 16 minutes.

Lundy knocked down an incisive through ball from Chris Mackay and Barlow raced in behind the defence to prod home.
Trafford came close to extended their lead on a number of occasions, Scott Metcalfe, Barlow and Mackay all going close before they finally added their second goal two minutes before half time.
It was remarkable Formby had held out that long but the hosts weren't to be denied as a great ball from Simon Woodford freed Metcalfe and he fed Barlow for the striker to calmly double his tally.
Formby threatened to spoil proceedings when they caught Trafford cold in the first minute of the second half, Rob Dutton capitalising on an error from Paul Riley to score a shock goal.
But Trafford were soon back on top and increased their lead in somewhat fortunate fashion six minutes later, when Mackay's 20-yard blast went straight under Formby keeper Kevin Atherton.
That was just the lift Trafford needed and they once again began to play some stunning football, slicing straight through Formby with their intelligent passing and movement.
Further goals were inevitable and Barlow completed his hat-trick on 63 minutes when Andrew Wooding failed to clear Lundy's cut back and he was able to score from close range.
And Trafford put the gloss on a remarkable evening when substitute Dion Depeiaza fed Mackay and he rocketed an unstoppable shot past Atherton from the right flank.
