Star striker Scott Barlow came off the substitutes bench to crash a stunning 20 yard volley into the top corner within four minutes and give Trafford a share of the spoils at Lancaster on Bank Holiday Monday.
Trafford started brightly and in the 7th minute skipper Joe Shaw saw his drive from the edge of the penalty area deflected into the arms of home keeper Mark Thornley.
However, Lancaster began to take control of the game with right winger Mike Rushton masterminding several fine moves and they took the lead in the 22nd minute when Max Rothwell collected a low cross from the left and neatly curled his shot inside the far post from 15 yards.

Rushton had a great chance to make it two just sixty seconds later but Tom Read was quick off his  line to block his low drive.
Joe Shaw fired an overhead kick over the home crossbar shortly afterwards but Lancaster doubled their advantage in the 34th minute when Paul Jarvis cut in from the left and crossed for Josh Kenworthy to glance home from close range.
Trafford were now really up against it but showed great spirit to pull a goal back almost immediately, new striker Tommy Turner holding off a challenge by Andy Teague to drive the ball past Thornley for his fourth goal in as many games.
Turner shot wide in the 44th minute but the home side and their supporters were stunned seconds before half-time when Kenworthy was sent off for what looked to be a fairly innocuous challenge on Andy Lundy.
Lancaster's ten men were superb for long spells in the second half and Trafford were restricted to just two chances, the first falling to Danny White who fired into the side-netting, and the second to Nia Bayunu who glanced a header from a Joe Shaw corner inches over the crossbar.

The turning point came in the 69th minute when substitute Scott Barlow, returning to the squad following a three game suspension, replaced the injured Melford Knight.
Barlow looked sharp and eager from the outset but just four minutes after his introduction he struck a sensational goal, blasting a left footed volley into the top right hand corner, to set a new goal-scoring record of 90 goals for the club.

Unfortunately, Trafford could not build on this equaliser and resorted to playing too many long passes, in contrast to the home sides short, simple and effective passing game.
In fact it was Lancaster who finished the stronger with Paul Jarvis volleying high and wide in the 90th minute and Teague firing over shortly afterwards.
Trafford manager Garry Vaughan will be a little disappointed with his team's overall performance but delighted with the fact that after four games his young side are still unbeaten.

Trafford won through to the First Qualifying Round of the FA Cup on Saturday with a hard fought victory in a wind affected game at Barrow.
The Cumbrians had the advantage of the strong wind and sloping pitch in their favour in the first half and after just two minutes Graham Capstick headed wide from 10 yards.

Trafford defied the elements to take the lead after just eight minutes when left back Paul Ashton stormed forward and crossed to the back post where Danny White headed firmly past Ben Morsby.
Guy Heffernan and Brian Dawson both went close to levelling as Holker pushed forward and in the 33rd minute Heffernan headed against the foot of the post with Trafford keeper Tom Read beaten.

Dawson then saw his chip from 30 yards fly just over the crossbar as the hosts finished the first half strongly.
With the wind at their backs, Trafford completely dominated the second period and in the 47th minute Tommy Turner saw his shot blocked by Morsby. Tom Bailey squandered a great chance shortly afterwards but in the 50th minute the visitors doubled their lead when Kyle Harrop and Bailey linked neatly on the right and Turner converted a simple header at the far post.
Although they were now completely in control, Trafford tended to play too much long ball and the game became scrappy and disjointed.

Nevertheless, Tom Bailey almost made it three in the 61st minute when he blasted a great drive from 25 yards against the crossbar and Kyle Harrop fired the rebound inches over.
Three minutes from time man-of-the-match Danny White also struck the bar but the game came to a close with Trafford manager Garry Vaughan delighted with a 2-0 victory that means that they have to travel to Stocksbridge Park Steels in the First Qualifying Round in a fortnights time.
